Karen is orginally from Shirley Indiana and has two siblings.  She has an older brother Gary and an older sister Deanna.  She was raised by her loving parents that would have celebrated their 63rd anniversary this year but sadly her father passed away Feb 6th. Karens fondest memories was riding on the tractor with her father as a little girl. 

She graduated from Hancock Radiologic Technology School in 1989 and then worked for Saint Johns Hospital in Anderson, In for 13yrs. 

In 2001 she relocated to Indianapolis where she began working at Methodist North Medical Plaza which is a part of Clarian Health Partners.  In 2005 Karen became the Lead Technologist for the MRI/CT department at the brand new Clarian North Hospital (currently IU North) where she worked until 2008. 

In February 2008, Karen relocated to Scottsdale Arizona and joined Siemens Medical Solutions.  Karen just celebrated her 6 year anniversary with Siemens as a Senior MRI Applications Specialist. 

Karen has a passion for teaching others in the medical field, traveling near and far, spending time with friends and family but above all else, riding her 2006 Screamin Eagle Harley Davidson motorcycle.

I am the 4th out of 6 girls in my family.  Growing up about an hour south Chicago, it was normal for all of the sisters to be working.  Both parents had full time jobs during the day and in the evening they operated their own cafe and laundromat.  It was not usual for me and the others to go to the businesses after school and help during the day and clean after closing.  There was always work to do.  Growing up in the environment where one is expected to work created my work ethic I still has today.

I was fortunate enough to go to college and earn my Bachelors degree in 1987.  In 1991 I began what has been a 24 year career focused on State and Local taxation.  Most of my career was spent within the Big 4 accounting firms until I opened my own firm (Palmer Tax Consulting LLC) in 2011.  While operating my own company, I returned to college and earned my MBA degree.

Outside of my professional life, my personal life is joyously consumed with my partner, Karen.  Meeting Karen in 2006 and taking a chance on creating a relationship with her has been the best decision I have ever made.  I am in love with her and she amazes me more and more every day.  It was fate that brought us together and it is our destiny to spend the rest of our lives together.  Having mutual passions like our 3 cats, our Harleys, and our desire to travel is simply icing on the cake.
